Up for bids is my working replica of Mystery Science Theater 3000's CROW T. ROBOT! Made with an AUTHENTIC "E" PIN!!! This is the one you want!

I see a few Crows on eBay every now and then. Some good, some bad, so I'll just tell you a few things I like about mine.

The beak is an actual, impossible to get, Empire Toys "E" bowling pin with the correct bottom, no injection hole on the bottom.
The string used for the mouth is black like it should be.
The bolts holding the shoulders in place are show accurate and correct length instead of dangling down inches below.
I actually used the spade lug terminals that Jef Maynard put as shoulder details. A lot of Crows don't.
The bolts in the arms are painted like they should be.
The pieces holding the hands in places are "guitar pick" shapes just like in the show.
The spacing between floraliers is not off. It looks a little like they were in these pics but that's an optical illusion as straight-on they're correct. See video.
I used the right plastruct tubing width for the era I aimed for. 1/4" has been right since season 2, although some builders still use 3/8". It's a personal preference thing as both are right.
The plastic stoppers from the floraliers are both in place and believe me, they're a great help in preventing the paint from chipping.
The clips on the hockey mask are real not resin cast. Yes the whole mask is real. Some people sell them with recast clips.
I used an actual metal hobby hinge on the bowling pin. Most builders don't do this and as a result the bowling pin jaw breaks after only a couple months.
Urethane replica of Schwartz Bros. soapdish is a LOT more durable than the flimsy styrene vacuformed cowl used by most builders.
The shoulders are hard plastic replicas of the original Wallace lamp parts, not carved Ivory soap bars covered in shoe polish. ;-)
The paint job is done precisely the way the Brains did it in later seasons.

I'm really sorry about this but the package is huge. Crow needs extra packing in order to not get paint chipped. By the way, I'm not responsible for paint chipping during transportation. I pack extra carefully.

You know, I don't see people mention this in their auctions, but the nature of Crow construction means that paint often does chip. You are free to use Crow as a puppet but I don't have to tell you it will last a lot longer as a display. Other than that, the mouth moves and the eyes move all over the place...it's a real working puppet. Good luck and happy bidding, building your own Crow is very rewarding but also very expensive, time consuming and nerve wracking. Buy mine and skip on the grey hairs. I also cut myself a few times while cutting the bowling pin. Save yourself the life-long scarring. I won't tell you how painful it was to build this but let's just say that lots of screams were heard.

PACKAGING

Crow is expertly packaged in LOTS of bubble wrap in a VERY sturdy box, surrounded by a LOT of styrofoam peanuts.

1) Crow is wrapped in clingwrap and bubble wrap. The photo above shows him as his arms begin to get wrapped.

2) Crow is placed in a very sturdy corrugated box bought specifically for this purpose. He is cushioned in styrofoam peanuts and a layer of bubblewrap is placed on top just in case.

3) The Super Heavy Duty box is covered with a softer styrofoam lid to protect the actual lid. Box is marked fragile.
