MUSEO DEL PRADO Velazquez Self Portrait Silk Tie 59"

Here's a very unique and beautiful silk tie from Museo Del Prado (the premier art museum of Madrid, Spain). It has a very intriguing small op art style pattern in 2 shades of silvery blue showing a tiny image of the famous self-portrait by Diego Velazquez (1599 – 1660: He was a Spanish painter who was the leading artist in the court of King Philip IV and probably Spain's most important artist). The images alternate dark against light, then light against dark (or like a photographic negative). It measures @ 3 7/8" wide and is @ 58" long. The maker label/keeper on the back shows "Museo Del Prado, @Aldeasa 2002". The tag at the small end reads "100% Silk, Made in Italy". On the skinny end of the tie is printed a logo of 2 letter M's. Beautiful quality. This pre-owned tie is in FANTASTIC LIKE NEW condition. No spots, snags or other boo-boos to report. It looks and feels great! Someone will love having this one in their arsenal of exceptional ties. Would make a wonderful gift for the artist, art historian or student.
