DELIUS AS I KNEW HIM By Eric Fenby Introduction by Sir Malcolm Sargent What a remarkable find! Here is a 1966 edition of a book originally published in 1936. It was written by Eric Fenby, the composer who as a young man helped the famous English composer Frederick Delius finish some of his final works. Delius was ill and incapacitated, blind and paralyzed. Fenby offered to help. For six years, Fenby worked off and on in Delius' home near Paris. This is the story of that undertaking. Years ago, Fenby attended the Delius festival in Jacksonville, Florida, and visited the plantation, Solano Grove, where Delius decided to become a become a composer. Used. 247 pages, plus index. Pages clean and readable. Jacket is chipped in several places but covered in protective mylar. The Olde Florida Company Celebrating the Real Florida Check out my other items!
