There's even a "break switch" that lets you mute your mic channels and switches to the CD/tape input, so that music plays between sets. The DFX-12 features a vocal eliminator circuit that can remove lead vocals from pre-recorded material. Phase inversion reduces signal panned to the center of the mix while a notch filter reduces frequencies between 160Hz and 5kHz which represents the frequency range of the human voice. The BREAK switch Mutes all channels eliminating the chance of any accidental signal while the mixer is unmanned. The only signal allowed passage is that of the 2 track input.
