Up for sale is a complete run of Macworld Magazine from Issue 1 to the present. Starting with the Premier Issue from May of 1984, with a very young looking Steve Jobs gracing the cover, every single issue from every year through May of 2008. All have been read once and carefully shelved. These were all privately owned by a single owner, not thumbed-through office pass-around copies. Each and every magazine is in excellent condition. Half have been stored in heavy MacWorld gold-stamped storage boxes. All the magazines have been flat and protected on the same wooden shelves in the same house for the duration.
There are over 24 years of magazines here. That's over 290 single issues. They go back to when the 126k putty-colored Mac was introduced. This magazine started publishing just a few months after the groundbreaking Apple Macintosh 1984 Superbowl ad aired. Every Mac, every software and hardware review, ads for companies that made Mac software and peripherals, companies that have come and gone - they are all here. Read about the first release of Lotus, PageMaker, Excel and tons more. A true history of everything Macintosh. Thousands and thousands of reviews and articles. And they are all sequenced and dated. An excellent research resource for Mac history.
Regarding shipping: Magazines are heavy. A LOT of magazines are VERY heavy. Please DO NOT BID unless you are willing to pay a hefty postage fee. It may cost you more for postage than your bid on the magazines. I will try to estimate your shipping costs from your zip code, and charge you fairly. I will NOT wrap, package and box every issue and carry them to the Post Office twice, once for getting an accurate postage cost and then again after payment is made. But I can take in a sample carton, count how many such boxes it will take to ship these, multiply the results and charge you a reasonable cost. I have already weighed one box at home and used the USPS website to estimate that from the Cleveland area to California, for example, postage would cost roughly $450. Overseas shipping would likely be triple that or more.
Open caveat: I have not pulled these from the shelves and examined every issue, so there is a very slim possiblity that one issue or two may have gone missing, but I honestly do not think so. I am a meticulous careful person and have methodically read and shelved them each month in the same location for many years. I can almost guarantee that every issue is accounted for.
