It took a long time before the original of the Iveron (Iverskaya) icon occupied it's permanent location in the Iveron Monastary of Athos (Greece).  It became famous in Russia after it's copy was placed to the chapel in 1648.  Our icon is a very high quality print that is inlaid to the tempered hardboard. Gold and silver foils are used during the printing process as a border.  The icon originates from the province of Moscow, Russia.
