STANDS OVER 20 INCHES HIGH AND 12 INCHES WIDE!

EFFECT:
The magician brings out a beautiful decorated Oriental, open ended, box on a decorative platform.  The box’s front side has an cut out design and through it can be seen a metal Cylinder decorated with a dazzling, rainbow sparkling, gold exterior.  The Magician Then lifts the box to expose the cylinder and shows the audience that the box is empty with no top or bottom and holds it open ended towards the audience while running his arm through it.  He then replaces the box, and lifts out the cylinder, also holding it open end to the audience to show it is open on both sides and just an empty tube.   The cylinder is returned to its place in the box and the audience once again can see the cylinder right through the cut out design of the box. 

With a magical gesture, the magician explodes fire from his finger tips, and then plunges his hands inside the metal cylinder and pulls out a bouquet of silver and gold flowers.   Amazing, but WAIT!  He puts his hands back inside the cylinder and pulls out another bouquet, but this time it’s colorful!  Then he pulls out another one, and another one and 4 more!  A rubber duck, a rubber ball, and a pair of underwear?… “HOW THE HECK DID THAT GET THERE?”

 “Hold on a second” says the magician as he quizzically looks at the box and cylinder on top of the platform.  He once again lifts the cylinder out and shows it to the audience as empty.  He puts the cylinder back and then lifts up the box to show it too is still empty… And THIS TIME he lifts the cylinder off the platform and sets it aside, with the box in the other hand, he lifts the small platform to show there are no secret doors or compartments underneath. 

 WHERE THE HECK IS ALL THIS STUFF COMING FROM??  He sets the cylinder back on the small platform and returns the box over it.  Again the audience can clearly see the Cylinder through the open design of the box.  Another magical wave, and the magician once again plunges his hands inside.  But this time no bouquets or rabbits are produced…  Instead he brings out a huge 24” red silk, knotted to a blue one, a green, a purple, a white, a pink and a yellow one knotted to a banana?!  THE STUFF JUST KEEPS COMING and COMING! Streamers, a sneaker, and a rubber rat?…  A half eaten sandwich and FINALLY A RABBIT!  Wait!  It’s a STUFFED RABBIT!  URRGGHHH…

 At this point the audience it totally BAFFLED.  You can SEE the look of total amazement on their faces.  Again the magician feels the need to lift both the box and the cylinder and show it to the audience.  As before’ they are clearly seen to be totally empty.  The magician replaces the box and cylinder.  The audience is on the edge of their seats at this point.  “What the heck else could this guy appear out of that empty cylinder??”

Once again the magician plunges his hands deep into the cylinder and begins to pull something up.  Suddenly, the audience sees a HUGE 15 inch by 9 inches in diameter SODA CAN IS NOW APPEARING FROM INSIDE THIS CYLINDER!  NO WAY!  THE MAGICIAN SETS THE HUGE SODA CAN ON THE TABLE, "POPS" THE TOP, REACHES INTO THE CAN AND PROCEEDS TO PRODUCE AN 8 FOOT LONG STRAW! WOW!

The audience goes WILD and the Magician takes his well deserved bows!  

Believe it or not this is not totally a dramatization.  This is actually how Peter performs this awesome and amazing feat of magic in his shows.  It has been spiced  up a bit for effect, but everything you have read, down to the pyrotechnics, is how Peter does this fantastic routine!  Of course each magician has his own style and because of this item's versatility it can be done in many different ways.  (The pyrotechnics are NOT included in this auction but can be added for an additional fee.)

This illusion has been a Classic and STAPLE in magic for many centuries.  Even still it  never seems to get old and always manages to get a favorable reaction from the audience.  It really keeps their attention and keeps them on the edge of their seats.  I have shared my routine with you to give you an example of how this basic trick can be worked into a small routine and give you 5-10 minutes or more of awesome, suspenseful magical entertainment.

THE SURPRISE SODA ENDING

The surprise ending is another of Peter Austin's fantastic innovations in Magic.  It is a self contained modular addition that has it's own separate load chamber. This module is included in this auction (see images above).
