Magician Lord AES EURO - Brand New/Sealed

One of the original 3 launch games (although it's no. 5 by catalogue number), it would be all too easy to dismiss this game as being old and not worth buying but in my opinion that would be a huge mistake: Magician Lord is an awesome, and incredibly tough (imagine Ghouls 'n' Ghosts on SNES but 10 times more difficult) action platform game. Playing this, you will understand why SNK made such unbreakable Joysticks, as you will undoubtedly throw yours through the window many times! Despite this, you still have to love the game, as it really looks and sounds gorgeous, and they just don't make games like this any more. There's some incredibly beautiful artwork in the game and the music is astonishing and really suits the game unlike the lazy CD music which gets churned out with most modern games... it's a perfect example of games not being made with the same love these days! Some people say it's a bit wooden but I love it... I kind of think of it as an action game equivalent to Viewpoint: it's not perfect, but it has a special charm and it's unlikely to be a game you finish in an afternoon! [HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT] On a side note, they totally messed up the CD version, allowing you to continue right from where you left off after dying, making it possible to finish the game in 1 session!!!! The Cartridge version is the only one to go for. Back in 1991, I remember not being able to get off level 3 for about 3 months. Having not played the game for a couple of years, when I played the Neo CD version upon launch, I didn't actually work out what was wrong until I realised that I was on level 4 after just 20 minutes! I still find it amazing that it's possible to buy sealed copies of a game which was released in back in 1991!
