American pop singer and actress Mandy Moore was inspired to a singing career
by her maternal grandmother, a former dancer in the West End of London.
Mandy’s fame began in the early 2000s with the release of her teen pop
albums, “So Real” and “I Wanna Be With You.“ These albums produced such
singles as “Candy” and “I Wanna Be With You..” In 2003 she recorded her
fourth album, Coverage, which was an effort to free herself from the teen
pop image of her first three albums. She has gone on to record three more
albums for a total of seven, the most recent being this year’s “Wild Hope.”
Mandy has also spent considerable time acting, in film and on the
television. Her first major role was in the film “A Walk to Remember.”
Movie roles that have followed were in the films “How to Deal,” “Chasing
Liberty” and “Saved!” Her television work includes appearances on the hit
“Scrubs.” She admits to liking singing better than acting.
