Vintage Guitar: Acoustin Guitar

Guitar by C. F. Martin, Nazareth, Pennsylvania, 1933. Model 00-18.  Serial Number 053583

This Vintage Martin is in great shape considering its age.  It was repaired by the C.F. Martin & Co. repair shop in November 1987 where a slightly larger bridge plate was added, the bridge was reglued, cracks on the sides of the fingerboard were repaired, a brace was added under the top for support was added, fingerboard was straightened, and loose frets were repaired.  I have the original repair order, several letters from the C.F. Martin company about the guitar, and the original owner's warranty card.  The guitar comes with a hard shell SKB case which provides excellent protection.

A: It's 24.9"

A: I don't know if the top was oversprayed at the factory - it doesn't say anything about that in the work order. The lines near the pickguard are checks in the finish, not cracks or repairs.
