Martin D45 Guitar with Fishman Prefix Excellent

This is an auction for a 2006 Martin D45 guitar excellent condition.  The cosmetic condition is excellent, but we all know that is a subjective manner.  This guitar is not perfect as it has been used some and is not in collector grade, absolute mint condition.  However, it is as nice of a slightly used guitar as you will find.  I purchased the guitar over the summer with intentions of keeping it as I had awlays wanted a D45.  However, the economy is forcing me to sell a couple of more guitars and this one is one of them.

The only imperfections I could find are as follows.  The guitar does show slight scratches on the pick guard and a few small swirls on the soundboard of the guitar.  After looking closely, I cannot find anything else with the soundboard.  The back of the guitar does have slight buckle rash from being played but that is about it.  As for the wood around the outside edges, there are a few very minor markings but absolutely nothing out of the ordinary.  The one susbstantial mark that ths guitar has is shown in photo number seven.  It is on the neck just above where the Fishman Prefix is located and it does go into the wood.  It is about 1/3 inch long.

The previous owner of the guitar had a Fishman Prefix installed just above the neck as pictured.  I have found it to be very convenient when playing through an amp, it makes adjustment incredibly easy while playing.  The previous owner indicated that the install was completed by a Martin authorized dealer.  If you look to the left in photo number 10 you can see the install.  I must say that I would never have the nerve to but into an $8000 guitar, but it really is nice to have the electronics.

The last few of these that I have seen on eBay have been listed around $5500 to $6500 in this condition.  They sell for $7500 new.  This one is being priced to sell reasonably fast.

Payment within 48 hours of auction end.  Shipping on this item will be $85 with insurance included.  Sorry, but shipping guitars and the insurance that is required is just expensive!  Signature will be required on delivery.  Shipping to the lower 48 United States only.  No returns, all sales final.  I will only pay for an insurance claim wherein UPS / Fedex / USPS pays.  If it is lost in shipment, I will do the leg work.  If it is damaged in shipment or delivered but not received, it is up to the buyer to bear the burden of proof. I have never had any problems shipping but want to make sure that this is understood. If you do not like the shipping terms, please do not bid.  You can review my feedback and see I have had no problems whatsoever.  I am shipping only on Thursdays, payment received by Monday night at 10:00 EST will ship on Thursday.

The guitar will be well packaged for delivery to you.  I do ask that you wait until the guitar is at room temperature to open.  As you probably know, exposure to drastic temperature changes can cause cracking of fine musical instruments.  Also, the strings on the guitar will be loosened prior to shipment.
