Greetings.  You are bidding on a Toy Biz MARVEL SELECT action figure of “THE PUNISHER”, the legendary Marvel Comics super hero (anti-hero?), vigilante, and all-round dispenser of mayhem.         

DESCRIPTION:  Released by Toy Biz and Diamond Select Toys in 2002, this action figure of The Punisher is meticulously detailed and beautifully painted.  It is also rather limited in its pose-ability.  As usual, Toy Biz design, sculpting and painting is simply top-notch, as they have crafted some of the nicest super hero action figures ever produced.  More detailed than and slightly larger than the Marvel Legends action figure line, the Marvel Select figures are beautiful to look at, but usually of limited articulation.  This particular Marvel Select figure has very limited pose-ability (only 6 points of articulation).    

The Punisher began life as Frank Castle.  After this ex-Vietnam Vet’s family was killed by mobsters, Frank went off the deep end and adopted the Punisher persona.  Introduced in Amazing Spiderman #129, Punisher has had a long career of hunting, maiming and killing super-villains, mobsters, random criminals and assorted felons.  His arch-enemy is Jigsaw, but Frank has also battled Rhino, Kraven’s son, various terrorist and supremacy groups, and assorted others.  He was recruited by the anti-registration forces during Marvel’s Civil War, but rejected after killing other recruits who happened to be former super-villains.  For a short while after the death of Captain America, Frank wore a Punisher-America costume in homage to Cap.     

This Punisher figure is 7 3/16” tall, features 6 points of articulation (neck, shoulders, wrists, waist) and comes garbed in his classic black and white skull costume.  He also wears a rubbery overcoat.  Also included are 2 weapons (which, I am reasonably informed, are a Colt M1911A1 pistol and a Colt Commando [shortened M16]).  The Punisher also includes a display base (a wall section of Matthew’s or Mattern’s Tavern, complete with neon sign and grafitti), and a non-articulated figure of a thug who is handcuffed and strapped to a Spiderman pinball machine.  The thug (I call him that based on his “Thug 4 Life” tattoo) has a hand-grenade wedged in his mouth (as you can probably tell by now, The Punisher does NOT fool around).      

This action figure is the most detailed and best looking Punisher figure ever produced.  It was sculpted by Steve Kiwus, and is based on the design of the character by Tim Bradstreet (who did the covers for Marvel’s The Punisher series and the Marvel Knights series).

CONDITION: 

-The figure is loose (no packaging is included). 

-The figure is complete with the Punisher, his 2 guns, tavern wall section, and thug figure strapped to pinball machine. 

-The figures are in near mint to mint condition. 

-These figure was owned, and displayed, by an adult collector in a smoke-free home.    

This is an essential action figure for the comic book or action figure collector, or anyone who loves rare and very cool figures.  This figure is long out of production, and only saw limited initial distribution.  This is a RARE opportunity to acquire a beautifully detailed figure.  I really like these figures, but I don’t have the room to display them.  My loss is your gain.  Don’t let this one pass you by!

SHIPPING/PAYMENT/TERMS:

-Domestic buyer pays $4.50 for parcel post shipping.  If you purchase multiple action  figures and/or other items, shipping will be combined. 

-Domestic postal insurance is optional (at cost), but recommended, as uninsured mail is sent at the buyer’s risk.  This means that if the package is uninsured, and is lost or damaged by the USPS, I do not make any refund or price adjustment. 

-International shipping is available.  I charge you what the post office charges me. 

-Insurance is very expensive on international shipments, and usually requires an upgrade to priority international shipping.  If you request it, I will obtain a quote for international insured shipping from the post office.  Uninsured packages are shipped at buyer risk.  I do combine shipping on international orders, but there is no flat rate discount for multiple purchases (I still charge what the post office charges).  I do not know the cost to ship this lot out of the US, since it has not yet been packed and boxed.  I can give you an estimate of international shipping based on other packages sent overseas, but this will be just an estimate. 

-Payment may be by PAYPAL, check or money order.  A check or MO must be drawn on a US bank or facility (my bank does not take international checks or MOs).  If a check is used, it must clear before item ships.  Thank you.
