Best appreciated with a loupe, this rock bears abundant colorless adamantine cerussite xls. up to 1 mm. with micro brown-orange calcite xls. Specimen is from the Portland Cement Quarry (formerly Portland-Lehigh Cement Quarry) in Carroll County and specifically from the same single rock that produced Maryland's only wulfenite find ever (Brewer, circa 1978) and from a vein that produced the finest malachite crystals ever collected in Maryland. Galena and malachite are also present in this specimen. Display face measures 4.5 cm. x 1.8 cm. |
