Item specifics
Style 110 No. 197121: Boston-Mason & Hamlin

Mason & Hamlin Boston

Harmonium

Style110 No 197121

I don't play!  I've owned this since 1984.

It came with a Victorian house I bought in Lakeville Ct.

I've kept it all these years because it is so lovely to look at.

I tried it this morning, and it works

(that is...it makes sounds when you pump and play

...certainly must need at least a tune up after all these years.)

Approx. 32"L, 31" T, 11" W

Excellent condition... as furniture...I know NOTHING about it as a musical instrument.

I hate to part with it but I'm moving to the West Coast... so it's time to lighten the load.

100% Positive Feedback

Helpful info from a wonderful ebayer:  "This is more accurately described as a reed organ or pump organ instead of harmonium. A harmonium is more of a European concept which sounds more like an accordian.  It is not uncommon for people to refer to these as harmoniums. This particular variety was affectionately referred to as the "Baby" and it dates to the 1880s. I believe it was intended for children and appears often on trade cards such as the one being sold on Ebay #110454286578. From the photos it looks like the organ is in pretty good shape. Undoubtedly, it needs bellows work and reed cleaning."  THANK YOU.
