The ME_8223001 is a Dual LED Lighting board without a decoder. This unit can be used with DC analog power, DCC or MTS power or may be connected to a function output of a digital lighting unit such as the ME_8122001 or a DCC/MTS Decoder function output.

Description:

This board is one of two new duel LED miniature lighting products. Massoth Electronics' created these products at the request of model railroaders for a lighting system that can be easily set up with with MTS or DCC for coach and accessory lighting requirements. There are two types of boards; the 8122001 without integrated digital decoder and 8123001 with decoder. The ME_8122001 (decoder version) can easily be connected with 2 (two) ME_8123001s (without decoder) using the screw terminals on each board (no soldering is required). The ME_8122001 con use f1 through f8 keys to individually control up to 8 each ME_8123001 dual light boards.

Both units can be operated on DC, MTS or DCC power and are equipped with energy saving - low power LEDs that shine bright on low or full track voltage due the onboard regulators. The are white coated LED circuit boards provide even light distribution and the ME_8123001 with decoder has and 8 function outputs. You may choose between several light source simulations, e.g. regular bulbs, gas lights, fluorescent tubes, energy saving bulbs, and others with this new unit. The white coating of the circuit board delivers optimum lighting effects in every car or accessory..

Massoth ME_8122001 Dual LED lighting board with decoder provides miniature screw terminal strips for power pass though and easy connection to the ME_8123001 Dual LED board. No soldering is required! The ME_8123001 (without decoder) looks the same as above photo but has no decoder installed and one end of the board has only two screw terminals)

Specifications:

The ME_8122001 (with decoder) features 8 function outputs, which may be used for the LEDs or other purposes. Programming is achieved by all common CV programming features using MTS or DCC. Allows programming on your main track (POM) as well as full control of all 8 functions via MTS or DCC throttles or PC.

The ME_8123001 (without decoder) can be wired to the ME_8122001 decoder light board or low cost lighting expansion under MTS or DCC control. This unit can use analog , DCC, MTS power and may be controlled via the function output of a digital lighting unit. Use one of each type for cars that need two lighting units (4 LED lights) under MTS/DCC control. Both types of boards work with DC, MTS or DCC power.

Installation example:

Install in most LGB coach roofs using two #4X1/4" pan head screws and wire the two boards as shown above

Notice that the small size of the LED boards allow installation in the small coach sections of most LGB passenger and baggage cars as well as in two axle coaches.

The LED boards provide even lighting distribution and the type of lighting effect - fluorescent bulb, regular bulbs or gas lighting can be remotely changed and dimmed while on the track. Each lighting board may be individually turned on and off or dimmed with a MTS or DCC and when using a PC controlled connection you can even turn the lights on and off as the conductor walks through the train.

Power can be from power pickups in each car or connected to your locomotive. The individual control of each light provides realism to your passenger trains.

The Massoth ME_8122001 (with decoder shown above) and the ME_8122001 (without decoder) lighting board is limited only by your imagination!
