Here is your chance to get an original copy of "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" Vol One , by Julia Child as seen in the movie "Julie and Julia".  The book states First Edition (see picture) - the publishing date is 1961.. This edition has red coloring on the top edges of the pages. The book is clean and complete as you see in the picture or in pristine condition . The book cover or the jacket is in good condition, the actual book is mint condition no missing pages or fold in the edge.

The dust jacket is good condition as all the cover is intact no missing piece of the dust cover or dust jacket, I try to describe flaws so buyer is aware. Hard to find these really early editions though, so it's still fun to have. The pages are very clean and bright. In fact, it almost looks like the book was never used. The binding is tight and there is only minimal edge wear at the top and bottom spine. The spine is is not faded, as shown n the photo, because it still have the dust jacket.

684 pages plus a 42 page index (total 726 pages) and over 100 illustrations. Photograph on back dust jacket by Paul Child. The boox measures approx. 9 ½” tall x 6 ¼” wide.

The dust jacket has some small tearing around the top. The actual book is like new considiring this is from 1961. There is NO dark spot on the hardcover as shown in the picture and some dirt on the bottom of the pages as shown in the other picture. I didn't try to clean this. Inside, the pages are nice and clean and look as if they've never been used. Great book for the Julia Child admirers and a must for your cookbook collection!  Will be shipped Media Mail which takes awhile, but this book is very heavy.
