Let me start by telling you I have 3 granddaughters and we have not been without a Miracle Baby in our house since 2001, my 12 year old has the oldest one & yes she still works fine and she still loves her. I thank Mattel for this doll. She is without a doubt the best doll ever made for interactive play & durability. It is sad they only made her for two years. She is adorable, your daughter or granddaughter will not be the only one who won't be able to put her down, trust me grown ups like her too. She does it all, she makes all the noises of a real baby(burps, sneezes, cries, says Mama(her only real word), sighs, giggles, etc) she blinks her eyes & moves her mouth when she makes sounds plus this one sucks her thumb or your little finger & falls to sleep as you rock her. There are two models one sucks & moves her mouth the other drinks & wets, this one sucks & moves her mouth she does not wet, I personally prefer this one because both have cloth bodies(bottoms) & the one that wets gets quite messy.. I have put this one together with items to make a nice gift for some little girl to enjoy for a long time & these dolls also make a wonderful companion for people in a nursing home & shut ins. Everyone loves her, young & old. The great thing is she only takes 3 C batteries & they last a long time. She has a shut off switch so your daughter can take her any where without disturbing others.
