Maw Sit Sit Jadeite Jade Gemstone Polished Piece Rock
A gorgeous pieces of vibrant green Maw Sit Sit.
It is a rare green gemstone that has dark-green to black veining; it sometimes has white spots. Maw-sit-sit has a hardness of 6. This stone is found near jadeite, in fact jadeite is a component, but it there is controversy on wether it can be called Jade.
Although its exact composition is still unknown, Maw-sit-sit is composed of chromite, ureyite, chrome jadeite, symplektite, chrome amphibole, and other lighter minerals.
This beautiful material is natural! And yes-it is that bright! This wonderful piece is freeform cut and polished all the way around. It is about 1.25 inch by 1 inch on one side, about 1 inch by 1 inch on the other and about .75 inch thick. It can be left as a specimen or recut into cabochons. It weighs about 40 grams.
Metaphysical Properties: Green Jade is said to support in detoxification and in the regeneration of tissues after trauma or surgery.
