Before You Bid

Please be sure you have READ the description (not just looked at the photo), are clear on what you are purchasing, ask ANY questions BEFORE bidding and intend to pay via Paypal. My auctions are Paypal ONLY.  (please see FAQ to find out why this is)

If you win an item and decide you no longer want it or decide you don’t want to pay for it you will be held responsible for all the incurred fees such as listing fees, final value fees and re-listing fees. (please see FAQ to find out why this is)

Please make sure your  all of your information with ebay/paypal is current and correct.  I print my labels directly from the computer as you have entered them into your account(s).  I, literally, get hundreds of emails to sift through daily.  If you email me rather than changing it BEFORE your purchase, there are great odds I may not see it or even get it prior to shipment.  I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES INCURRED IF AN ITEM HAS TO BE RE-ROUTED OR RE-SHIPPED BECAUSE OF THIS! Payment Information

I must receive your payment within 7 days or the item will be re-listed. (please see FAQ to find out why this is)

Because my “Buy it Now” auctions require immediate payment I cannot send a combined invoice on multiple purchases. You will have to purchase each item individually. I will then go back and refund any excess shipping charges to ensure you receive the shipping discount. (please see FAQ to find out why this is)

When purchasing multiples of the same item your shipping total should be adjusted automatically upon checkout, but if it does not, you have the ability to adjust the shipping accordingly.

I will combine shipping on any of my cosmetic products for an additional .50 cents (after the highest shipping price) for each item after your first purchase.  On heavier items or on some international shipments the cost may be higher as it does cost more to ship.  That said, the .50 cents per additional item is good for MOST of my items. (please see FAQ to find out why this is)

Shipping Information

I print almost all of my shipping labels online which makes it easier and quicker for me to ship to you. When the label is printed you will receive an automated email including the ship date and delivery confirmation number.

If, for some reason, you do not get that email you can always go to your “my ebay” section, “won” items section and use the pull down menu next to the won item where it says “take ation” and click on “order details” to find the delivery confirmation number.

I ship all my items either First Class or Priority, that way they can be tracked and have delivery confirmation! This gives both YOU and I confidence in knowing your product will arrive safely and quickly!  When First Class shipping is offered there is also always the option to upgrade to Priority Mail at an additional cost. (please see FAQ to find out why this is)

(THIS EXCLUDES PACKAGES SHIPPED INTERNATIONALLY VIA FIRST CLASS MAIL AS USPS DOES NOT OFFER ONLINE PRINTING OR DELIVERY CONFIRMATION FOR THIS SERVICE)

While I am still making every effort to ship my items in a timely manner I may not be able to ship daily as I used to do. You will still get your package quickly, just not with the same lightening fast speed as usual. I normally ship Monday-Friday, but if things get busy during the week I will be sure and ship items out on Saturdays as well. I am a busy mom! Thank you so much for understanding and being patient! I package all of my items very well and very securely, using professional type materials. If I cannot ship immediately, for one reason or another, I always let my buyers know. You can check my feedback to see that I am very prompt with my shipping. (please see FAQ to find out why this is)

International Shipping

All international shipping prices have been calculated and can be found by scrolling down to the bottom of the listing where it says “shipping and handling” and the using the pull down menu where it says “country”, then simply choose your country from the list.  If the cost doesn’t change click the “update” button located next to the pull down menu.

Due to the weight of many of my items I have found the most cost effective way to ship is via Priority Mail International in either a flat rate box or envelope.  If the item is light weight I will give the option for either First Class OR Priority.  The choice is yours.

PLEASE NOTE when CHOOSING to have your item shipped via First Class Mail I cannot print the label online and there is tracking/delivery confirmation.  This means 2 things:

1. It may take an extra couple of days to get your package out because I live a good 25 minutes from the nearest post office and I will have to go INTO the post office in order to pay and ship the item.

2. There will be no way to track your package or insure it.

Feedback Policy

I will leave feedback for you once you have left feedback for me.  NO EXCEPTIONS. (please see FAQ to find out why this is)

Because my life tends to be very busy and it takes nearly all of my spare time to just get my items listed and shipped it may take me a while to leave feedback. Please be patient, I will do it... it just may take me a while!

ALSO, please remember that feedback is NOT mandatory it is optional!  I get dozens of people every month who do not leave feedback for me, and that is OK.  I know we all want to build our feedback up… and as I said I will leave it as son as I have a chance… BUT odds are if you HARASS me via email regarding feedback, I simply wont leave it.  Sorry.

If you leave unnecessary, unwarranted negative feedback I will do the same. You can always email me to resolve ANY situation prior to leaving negative feedback. (please see FAQ to find out why this is)

What to do if your package has not arrived

Please email me if more than a week goes by since you have received notification that the package has been sent and you still have not received it. DO NOT wait until a month or two has passed to notify me!

Some of my items REQUIRE insurance, this is for both of our benefits. This way, if/when a package comes up missing (it happens more that you realize), I can simply reship your item immediately and file an insurance claim with no hassle or extra cost to you.

If the item has been insured but the postal carrier neglected to scan the package into USPS system, the first step in filing an insurance claim will be you (the buyer) sending me a SIGNED letter stating that you did not receive the package.  I will not refund, re-ship or start the insurance claim until I have this letter in hand. (please see FAQ to find out why this is)

If you have purchased an item from me that does not REQUIRE insurance and you OPTED NOT TO PURCHASE insurance I WILL NOT be held responsible for the negligence of USPS.  You can see from my feedback I am not in the business of ripping people off! (please see FAQ to find out why this is)

Lastly….

I do not like to be wasteful. I will sometimes cut larger envelopes in half when shipping a smaller item. I may also recycle an envelope or box if it is still in good condition. It is not because I am cheap, I just cannot stand to be wasteful. Do not worry, no matter what I make sure the items are packaged nicely and securely.

I also do not include printouts of the instructions/FAQ (which you can easily go back to the listing to read) because I know that they will, more than likely, just be thrown away and I can't stand the thought of wasting all that paper and ink. That said, if you would like a printer friendly version of the instructions/FAQ or any other info, I will gladly email it to you.  Just send me a note including your current email address.

The best way to ensure I receive your email is to contact me through ebay, sometimes emails sent through personal addresses get sorted into my spam/bulk mail folder and I never see them.  If you are having trouble contacting me I have more than one address: melaniumom@gmail.com or makeupbymelanie@gmail.com
