Vintage MAYER CHINA two handled BOWL round cup shape for Cream Soup (traditionally) or other service; some use as open sugar; in pattern FADE OUT Red on white porcelain ... this is rich red burgundy maroon accented with black band line ... lines on each handle, and INSIDE RIM, too! See photo. FADE OUT Red with black pattern design was used by the Miramar Hotel, Santa Barbara, California as early as the 1940's that we know of and probably became a stock piece later.

Good to great condition piece, so of course no chips, no cracks, no crazing, slight use, and good to great coloring, ready for decades added service to place setting and or nice enough to use for display. Yes on bottom this is backstamped.
