Nestled in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by great evergreen forests and under the shadow of majestic Mt. Rainier, McCauley Sound, Inc. is an American company founded in the humble frontier spirit of discovery and driven forward by a traditional pride in the merits of craftsmanship.

As an innovator and leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance professional loudspeaker systems and raw-frame loudspeaker components, McCauley Sound is the only professional audio company still based in the United States who both engineers new technologies and manufactures products entirely in-house and under our direct control.

TWENTY-FIVE YEARS LATER
McCauley Sound, Inc. was founded in 1979 by Tom McCauley, and throughout the decades since, Tom’s breakthrough designs have powered many of the most famous names in the business. Still owner operated, still operating in the domain of mad science, and driven by a real passion for great sound, we are proud to be the company that goes the extra mile for our customers, our people... and to design and build the technologies they depend on. Tom’s dedication to principle is obvious in every detail, each idea, driving us forward, permeating every product we make.

THE TOTAL CONTROL PRINCIPLE
Examine any given loudspeaker product and you'll find a collection of different acoustic and structural technologies, all of which are engineered to work as a single system, a sum greater than its parts. Coils, suspensions, windings, basket geometries, magnetics, electronics, mechanical rigging systems, enclosure elements, weatherproofing, dispersion, phase and pattern control devices, etc... all of which must work in harmony to create just ONE single, finished, integrated loudspeaker system... and from there it only gets more complicated when designing for complex multi-cell arrays.

So how does McCauley Sound’s approach differ from the rest? Total Control. All major elements of any McCauley Sound loudspeaker system are designed and manufactured under one roof, from raw materials to finished goods. Total Control means more than just an efficient, in-house manufacturing program. Our attention is focused on each minute detail of the system engineering, and it's the sum of these details, and how tightly integrated and complete thier design, that truly set's McCauley products apart from the rest.
