McCoy Pottery BABY SCALE Planter


 

Greetings - Submitted for your approval we have a very hard to find McCoy Pottery Baby Scale Planter. Produced in 1953, measures approx. 5" x 5 1/2". Features a whimsical face hand painted in brown, pink and blue. The top rim of the basket that would hold the baby is hand painted in light blue.

It is not too early to think Christmas. If there is a pottery collector on your gift list, this is something that will bring a smile to their face and many years of enjoyment. If you are the collector, then treat yourself to this rare find...you're worth it!

CONDITION: very good vintage condition. No cracks or repairs. There are two VERY minor flea bites on the front base. The scarcity of this planter far outweighs this minor imperfection. Just about 100% of the original cold paint is intact.

REFERENCE:  can be referenced in Sanford's Guide To McCoy Pottery by Martha and Steve Sanford, page 135. The last pic above shows the page in the book referenced here.
