More Details and Specifications
The LX90-ACF: Meade’s popular LX90 with
its great combination of highly usable electronic features, solid and relatively
light weight mount, and very reasonable cost, goes to the next level with the
revolutionary ACF optical system.
The patented Meade Advanced Coma-Free (ACF) optical design
offers the coma-free pinpoint star images and flatter image fields greatly
desired by discerning amateur astronomers, astrophotographers and professional
observatories alike. This system also reduces the astigmatism and eliminates the
diffraction spikes found in classical Ritchey-Chrétien designs. No competing
Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope can make those claims.
The 10" LX90-ACF has a 10” diameter f/10 ACF optical system
(focal length 2500mm) and Ultra-High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) for maximum
image brightness and contrast. Electronics include the advanced Meade 497
AutoStar computer system with over 30,000 object library, multiple guided tours,
High Precision Pointing capability, and Meade SmartDrive with Permanent Periodic
Error Correction.
Precise and quick star alignment is done near effortlessly
with Meade's patented Level North Technology alignment system incorporating a 16
channel genuine Sony GPS receiver. The Autostar is flash-updatable via free
downloads at Meade.com (optional cable required).
All LX90-ACF models feature the solid and stable LX90 aluminum
double fork mount, with fast slew speed adjustable from 1 to 7 degrees per
second. Fine slewing and photographic guiding speeds can be adjusted from .01x
to 1x sidereal in one one-hundredth increments. The mount and all electronics
are internally powered by 8 (user supplied) C-cell batteries which will
typically operate the telescope for a generous 60 hours (optional Meade
Universal AC adapter also available). The mount also has mechanical locks in
both axis allowing adjustment even without power.
The LX90-ACF comes fully equipped with a heavy duty height
adjustable Meade Field Tripod, 1.25" diagonal prism, Series 5000 26mm 5-Element
Plössl eyepiece, and Meade AutoStar® Suite Astronomer Edition Software for PC.
The telescope also includes two separate viewfinders: an easy to use zero
magnification red dot viewfinder controlled via the keypad with adjustable
brightness and blink functions, and additionally a conventional 8x50 optical
viewfinder with quick release bracket.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it (see exceptions in Paragraph g) below) within 7 days of receipt, for a refund, or a replacement - subject to the following::
a) Contact HotDigital to receive a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, to ensure proper handling of the return and/or replacement. Products cannot be returned without an RMA number.
b) In order to be eligible for a full refund, less shipping expenses, your returned merchandise must be in its original unopened mint condition, as shipped, with all packaging, manuals, and paperwork intact and unaltered. Items removed from their 'blister-pack' display packaging are non refundable.
c) Only the purchase price of the product is refundable. Customers remain responsible for the shipping and handling expenses incurred in shipping the item to them. If an item is offered with "Free Shipping," this means we are paying the freight on your behalf. If that product is returned for a refund, the shipping expenses incurred, will be deducted from the refund. If an item is refused, the carrier bills us for shipping both ways, and these expenses incurred on your behalf need to be deducted from your refund.
d) The issuance of an RMA# does not guarantee final disposition, as all returns are subject to our inspection. If the product you are returning is not in brand new, mint condition, as per Paragraph b) it is non refundable and can be picked up of subject to at least 15% restocking fee. If your return is missing accessory components, or shows signs of wear and tear - restocking fees will be higher. So please limit your Returns to unopened items in their original condition with all documentation, packing material, and accessories intact. For specific restocking fees that may be applicable to your Return, please contact us at cs@hotdigitalclub.com.
e) Returns should be packed in an outer shipping carton, to avoid defacing the original box/packing of the product. The RMA# should be clearly inscribed on the shipping label. A copy of your invoice and Order # should be included, and your Return should be insured, with shipping costs pre-paid. We cannot accept any COD shipments.
g) There are product categories which are not returnable, due to hygienic, sanitary, or other reasons, as required by the respective Manufacturers. Please review the categories below to make sure that your purchase qualifies to be returned.
Non-Returnable Categories: BBQ Grills; Consumable, Perishable, and/or Sensitized items, such as: Paper, Ink, Lamps, Bulbs, Batteries, and Software; Car Stereo, DJ, and Home Audio; DVD Players; Video Games and Consoles; Home and Kitchen Appliances; Luggage; Musical Instruments; Personal Care; Printers and Scanners; Projection Screens; Televisions; Headphones/Earphones; Special Order items, where indicated; items in blister packaging and all items over $1200.00. If you’re not sure if your item is returnable please contact us BEFORE purchasing.
Purchases from these categories are final. In case any of these items is defective, Customer must return them to the respective authorized service centers, for repair or replacement at the option of the Manufacturer. These items cannot be returned to the Merchant.
