Description
The LX200-ACF: the world famous LX200
legacy continues in its most advanced and feature packed version ever. This
revolutionary new optical design offers the coma-free pinpoint star images and
flatter image fields greatly desired by discerning amateur astronomers,
astrophotographers and professional observatories alike. The patented Advanced
Coma-Free (ACF) system also reduces the astigmatism and eliminates diffraction
spikes found in classical RC’s. No competing Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope can
make those claims.
This 8" LX200-ACF has 8” diameter f/10 ACF optics (focal
length 2000mm) and Ultra-High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) for maximum image
brightness and contrast. Features the advanced LX200 AutoStar II computer system
with 145,000 object library, multiple guided tours, High Precision Pointing
capability with sub arc-minute pointing accuracy, Meade SmartDrive with
Permanent Periodic Error Correction, and super precision electrically driven
Meade Zero-Image-Shift Microfocuser.
Precise and quick star alignment is done near effortlessly
with Meade's level north technology alignment system incorporating a 16 channel
genuine Sony GPS receiver. The Autostar II is flash-updatable via free downloads
at Meade.com (optional cable required). The drive base of the telescope has
multiple input and output ports including an RS-232 PC interface and jacks for a
(user supplied) CCD Autoguider and illuminated reticle.
Mechanically loaded as well all LX200 models feature a primary
mirror locking mechanism, which effectively prevents movement of the primary
mirror during long exposure astrophotography or observing. Turn the lock knob
located just above the telescopes main focus knob and the progressive-tension
primary lock completely cancels any residual image shift due to mirror movement
during visual, photographic, or imaging applications.
All LX200-ACF models feature the DC-servo driven super heavy
duty double fork mount, the strongest and most rigid mount in its class. Fast
slew speeds are from 1 to 8 degrees per second, and can be user selected at .1
degree per second increments, while fine slewing and photographic guiding speeds
can be adjusted from .01x to 1x sidereal in one one-hundredth increments. The
mount and all electronics are internally powered by 8 (user supplied) C-cell
batteries which will typically operate the telescope for around 20 hours
(optional Meade Universal AC adapter also available). The mount additionally has
mechanical locks and slow motion manual controls in both axis if for some reason
you found yourself without power.
The LX200-ACF comes fully equipped with a heavy duty height
adjustable Meade Field Tripod, 1.25" diagonal prism, Series 5000 26mm 5-Element
Plössl eyepiece, 8x50 viewfinder with quick release bracket and Meade AutoStar®
Suite Astronomer Edition Software for PC.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it (see exceptions in Paragraph g) below) within 7 days of receipt, for a refund, or a replacement - subject to the following:
a) Contact HotDigital to receive a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, to ensure proper handling of the return and/or replacement. Products cannot be returned without an RMA number.
b) In order to be eligible for a full refund, less shipping expenses, your returned merchandise must be in its original unopened mint condition, as shipped, with all packaging, manuals, and paperwork intact and unaltered. Items removed from their 'blister-pack' display packaging are non refundable.
c) Only the purchase price of the product is refundable. Customers remain responsible for the shipping and handling expenses incurred in shipping the item to them. If an item is offered with "Free Shipping," this means we are paying the freight on your behalf. If that product is returned for a refund, the shipping expenses incurred, will be deducted from the refund. If an item is refused, the carrier bills us for shipping both ways, and these expenses incurred on your behalf need to be deducted from your refund.
d) The issuance of an RMA# does not guarantee final disposition, as all returns are subject to our inspection. If the product you are returning is not in brand new, mint condition, as per Paragraph b) it is non refundable and can be picked up of subject to at least 15% restocking fee. If your return is missing accessory components, or shows signs of wear and tear - restocking fees will be higher. So please limit your Returns to unopened items in their original condition with all documentation, packing material, and accessories intact. For specific restocking fees that may be applicable to your Return, please contact us at cs@hotdigitalclub.com.
e) Returns should be packed in an outer shipping carton, to avoid defacing the original box/packing of the product. The RMA# should be clearly inscribed on the shipping label. A copy of your invoice and Order # should be included, and your Return should be insured, with shipping costs pre-paid. We cannot accept any COD shipments.
g) There are product categories which are not returnable, due to hygienic, sanitary, or other reasons, as required by the respective Manufacturers. Please review the categories below to make sure that your purchase qualifies to be returned.
Non-Returnable Categories: BBQ Grills; Consumable, Perishable, and/or Sensitized items, such as: Paper, Ink, Lamps, Bulbs, Batteries, and Software; Car Stereo, DJ, and Home Audio; DVD Players; Video Games and Consoles; Home and Kitchen Appliances; Luggage; Musical Instruments; Personal Care; Printers and Scanners; Projection Screens; Televisions; Headphones/Earphones; Special Order items, where indicated; items in blister packaging and all items over $1200.00.
