When you are done observing you can slide it out so you NEVER BREAK THE BRACKET DURING TAKEDOWN OR STORAGE!! This nice Meade red dot finder has two brightness levels and has xy adjustment to align up to your telescope tube. I am so glad i got this item from meade so i can offer this.
