Q: Hello, I am looking at getting a system like this for an elderly family member and I have a few questions. When the button is pushed to call for help, is the 1st number on the list called and then if there is no answer at that number it goes to #2 on the list? or does it call all 4 #'s at the same time? For example, my cell # would be the 1st on the list, but I have voice mail so even if I didn't answer the call my voice mail would and then I might not get the message for a while. Is there a way to go around this problem? What is the delivery estimate for this item? Can the siren that is mentioned be disabled? (I'm afraid this would add stress to the situation) I apologize for all the questions, but I am planning to purchase an item like this immediately and am very interested in your product. Thank you! Correct. It calls all 4 numbers one at a time. The person who answers and then hits "0" will tell it when to stop calling. If no one picking up hits "0", it will keep calling all of the numbers. Answering machines and voice mail will not fool it. Estimated delivery is about three days and the siren can be disabled. If you bought it today, you could have it by early next week. Q: Does the battery for the heart pendant also come with this unit? Also, what battery does it use?Is there anything else needed for it's use that must be purchased seperately? Sep-06-07 A: Yes, the battery comes with the unit and it is a lithium ion battery similar to that used in a large watch. Expect a battery to last 2-3 years. They can be replaced at any camera store and it is a good idea to replace them yearly (this is our recomendation). The only thing you will need is a 9 v battery (I believe it comes with the unit as well) to back up the base unit in case of a power outage. This enables the unit to operate without any electricity in the home for a limited amount of time. Usage of the back up system will determine when to replace the 9v. I recommend changing it once a year or purchasing a battery tester for a couple of bucks. The connecton cords are also included, everything you need, its basically plug and play. Hi, I will be happy to help. When the system dials a number, the system will continue to the next number until someone answers and presses "0" on their telephone receiver. Good evening John, I have read through your auction and Q&A's but am wondering if the 250' range is influenced by doors, walls, etc.? Also, any frequency problems encountered @ cell phones, cb's, ham or other radios, cordless phones, etc.? Thanks for any info. and input.

Honestly, this uses the same rf wireless technology that is found in our ademco 5800 wireless receivers, but as you well know, large metal objects can absorb the frequency. For example, a large metal commercial building can decrease operating range by up to 20 percent. As far as interference, we have found if someone within range has the exact same system, there is a possibility (one in 1500) of them being in the same "spot". The remedy is to repoll the pendant, as the system can have up to 8 pendants. Other than that, no worries at all, as mentioned, these operate just like a wireless security system sensor I we have handled the sale of hundreds of systems with very few problems. A final note: We recommend testing the unit in as many points as possible throughout the home and property to ensure that it will suit your needs, if it does not, we will take it back. Yes, And if 911 is one of the numbers, there are still 3 other numbers that the unit will still call if they are programmed into the unit as well.
