5 6/8" MEGALODON TOOTH

This is a Replica of a shark tooth from the amazing Megalodon shark. It was cast from an actual tooth and professionally painted to look just like the original. The tooth measures 5 6/8” (please see photos). A real tooth of this size and quality sell for 3-4 times more.

The megalodon, "big tooth" in Greek from Carcharodon megalodon or Carcharocles megalodon (in dispute), was a giant shark that lived in prehistoric times during the Neogene period,[1] and was a super-predator.
C. megalodon exceeded 15 metres (49 ft) in length and was by far the biggest and most powerful shark ever to exist. It is also recognized as the largest carnivorous fish known to have existed. From scrutiny of its remains, scientists conclude that C. megalodon belongs to the order Lamniformes. However, scientists are still debating which genus would be most appropriate for C. megalodon from the two proposed. Fossil evidence has revealed that megalodon fed upon large marine animals.
