This is only the second time the Mint has released such a coin, and its very limited mintage (1:500) means  it will be highly sought after momento of the Games.

Renowned artist Peter Soobik has designed the coin crafted from 1kg of 99.9% fine Silver. His design features popular images from the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games as well as all 16 competing sports as well as subgraphics. The observe features Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.

This $30 denomination coin has been crafted to the exceptionally high standards of the Royal Australian Mint, and is encased in a magnificent Jarrah display box. Each coin comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

This coin is in mint condition and has never been opened  or touched. The box is sealed from its original wrapping from the mint. It is also very heavy.
