These drop front knee breeches feature a 5 button front with a lace-up gusset back.The 36" waist measurement of the breeches is when the back gusset is completely closed so there is about a 3-4" expansion option on these breeches.Pant size conversion is the same as for modern levi's.If you have large or oversized thighs/calves please contact me before bidding to confirm that these knee breeches will accommodate your legs.These knee breeches are made of period correct, Navy corduroy, 4 wale to the inch fabric.The buttons are1" imitation, sliced, bone in natural, grey and charcoal tones.All fabric was pre-washed and all the seams are finished in this garment.
Duroy originated as a cotton or wool "knock-off" of velvet with no wale that outfitted french court servants. When the wales were added it became corduroy.
These knee breeches are new and come from a smoke-free environment.
