Men's Vintage/Antique Sterling Silver Grooming Set A+++

A few weeks ago I was consigned to sell a large collection of vintage, antique, and very antique items from all over the world. Items made of silver, gold, and wood  . . . cut glass, hand-blown glass, and pressed glass . . . porcelain, pottery and china . . . metals of all kinds . . . carved gem stones and cameos . . . and many collectible coins. From Tiffany&Co Paris New York London is this beautiful men's vintage/antique grooming set. It is sterling silver, stamped appropriately. It consists of five (5) pieces: mirror, 2 hair brushes, one clothes brush and a shoe horn. Originally there was a tortoise shell comb, but only the holder (sterling and monogrammed)  is available. A comb will have to be fitted. I will list the pieces separately and their stampings, each piece is marked Tiffany & Co. sterling silver 925-1000.  The additional markings are as follows: mirror 21002VMakers 294; 1st hair brush 21005VMakers9101, 2nd hair brush21003VMakers3045, clothes brush 91004VMakers5561, shoe horn 21010VMakers9102. A very, very handsome set.

The provenance of this set is very interesting. Each piece is monogramed with the letters EC, the initials of Emanuel Cohen. Back in the early 1920's, he was the editor of the Pathe News division of Paramount pictures. He then spent 10 years as an executive of Paramount Pictures, ultimately forming his own production company. He produced Mae West films and Bing Crosby movies. Thanks for looking at my site. Cheers
