This is a beautiful specimen of the stony meteorite from Burkina Faso named Gao. The Gao meteorite fell on March 5, 1960, several thousand small stones rained down in the village of Leo. It is a stone, chondrite H5.

Pieces are still being found there, I now have a supplier in the town so these pieces are newly found.

This piece is a nice specimen and has beautiful black fusion crust. It weighs 2.35 grams and is a nice small complete stone.

The cube in the photo measures 1 cm and is for measurement in the photos only, it is not included in the auction.

I am a meteorite dealer and fully guarantee any meteorite and tektite I sell.
