From Meteoritical Data Base of the Meteoritical Society:
“This is 1 of 2 approved meteorites classified as H(L)3“
Chondrites, i.e. the oldest matter of our solar system, are stuffed full of little igneous particles. These particles, called chondrules, seem to have formed in the disk of gas and dust from which the sun and planets accreted. The rare type 3 chondrites escaped considerable thermal metamorphism on their parent asteroids. Each chondrule, once free floating in the solar nebula, is preserved in its pristine shape, formed 4.6 billion years ago.
