Description
11/13/09 - This listing has been on Ebay for a while. I just lowered the price down to the lowest I will go. In addition, I've changed the return policy to "No Returns". This does Not mean that I found any problems other than what is described below. However, this is an older unit, & I cannot guarantee that all will work up to the buyer's expectations.
NOTE: Due to the size & weight of this item, I will ship this item FED EX GROUND which is the most economical method I have found. Please e-mail if you want the actual S/H charge for your location (US ONLY). The Ebay form requires me to fill in an amount, so I roughly estimated an amount for CA. If you live closer to PA, then your S/H will be less.
This Metz SCA 300 Flash Unit set dates to the mid 1990s. I charged up the (2) batteries with the 60 CT-4 charger, & both appear to work fine. In addition, I attached the cords from the main flash (the 60 CT-4) to the slave units, and all units flash as they should. I didn't yet connect the camera cords to a camera. If someone needs to know about that before making a purchase, please e-mail, & I'll check on this.
INCLUDES: (Pictures below are in same order as this list).
- Mecablitz 60 CT-4 Flash head
- Tele-attachment 60-42
- Bounce diffuser attachment 60-33
- Filter set for the 60 CT-4
- (2) cords from flash to charger (#60-58 about 6' long & #60-59 spiral stretchable style)
- (3) cords from flash to camera (#45-47, #45-48, & #45-49)
- Metz Mecabliltz 60 CT-4 Battery Charger (SN 021378) with Metz Typ728 cord (only shown in group pic) with carrying strap. As seen in pic, there is a rechargeable Dryfit F/60 series battery inside + an extra battery outside). The owner wrote notes on labels dated 1995. I charged both batteries, & they appear to work fine. These are Used batteries, & I cannot guarantee how much longer they will last. The next (2) photos show inside of charger & bottom of charger (there is some corrosion in metal areas).
- Brackets for attaching camera, bounce diffuser, & other accessories. These are well used (heavy paint loss & some rust) but fully functional.
- (2) Mecablitz Mecatwin 60-40 accessory (slave) flash guns shown with a clip-on diffuser. Note: Diffusers are neutral clear in color. Flashead plastic underneath is yellowing. Photo of bottoms show some corrosion in holes.
- (2) cords to connect slaves to main flash (the 60 CT-4) and/or each other. One is about 16.5' long. Other one is about double that length.
- Mecabllitz Filter Set 45-32
- Instructions booklets, + 1994 softcover book "Magic Lantern Guides Metz Flash Systems (1st English language edition). 176 pages / about 5" x 7.5".
- Original boxes with their form-cut styrafoam for the flash units. Boxes are intact but have some soiling, bumped edges, and surface damage.
NOTE: In addition, after taking the photos, I found a small gray piece of molded plastic. According to the 60 CT-4 book, this is a fill-in flash reduction filter that clips into place over the fill-in reflector.
CONDITION:
- 60 CT-4 Flash Head - Flash lights up & goes off when attached to battery charger (with battery inside). The head clicks nice & firmly into its six different positions. Cosmetically, unit looks good other than a small crack in the fill-in reflector (below main reflector) and scratches throughout to plastic. Also, there is a small area at bottom of flash gun handle that at first looked like a crack. At 2nd look, it appears to be a jagged scratch & a small piece of surface damage.
- Tele-attachment & filter set - Very Good + - light signs of use
- Cords - Very Good
- 60 CT-4 Battery Charger - Mechanically works fine. Cosmetically, has paint loss, scratches, some corrosioin on metal inside & on bottom hole outside. Also, two of the feet on bottom are missing their rubber insert. (see photo).
- Mecatwin 60-40 flash guns . Mechanically they go off when attached with their cords to main flash unit. Heads click nice & firmly in their six different positions. Cosmetically, they have light scratching to plastic areas, & bottom (tripod) holes have some corrosion (see photo).
- Booklets, books - Good to very good. All are intact. The Magic Lantern Guide is very nice & clean condition.
5/7/09 IF INTERESTED IN OTHER QUALITY PHOTOGRAPHIC ITEMS, I'll be listing many more useful (and some hard to find) items over the next 3 months in both my Ebay Store & Ebay Auction. If you go to my Store, the photographic equipment will be scrolling across top of page. You can also find them in my "Camera Equipment" store category.
FEEDBACK REQUIREMENTS: In order to bid, you need to have at least a "1" positive feedback rating. If your feedback is "0", please e-mail BEFORE bidding.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
If you have a preference other than Priority Mail International, I can also ship Express Mail International.
If you have a better method or suggestion for this item to arrive safely, let me know, & I'll try to accommodate.
I can ship First Class Mail International on items valued under $100.00. For items valued over $100.00, I don't use First Class International for (2) reasons: 1. Packages don't have a tracking number. 2. Paypal Payment Protection prefers a shipping method that includes tracking information.
The Ebay form will give you a S/H price for your Country. This does Not include insurance. If you e-mail, I can give you the insurance cost for your Country (if available). Insurance, however, is not available for all countries.
Also, when filling out the customs form, I mark the FULL selling price and enclose an invoice. Also, when filling out the customs form, I mark the FULL selling price and enclose an invoice. I do not wish to risk my reputation by putting down a lesser amount or by marking item as "gift" on the customs form. Also, buyer is responsible for all import taxes and fees. Please check the rules and fees of your country Before bidding.
Shipping time Once payment is received, I ship quickly - the following business day (or same day when time allows).
PAYMENT Payment is due in 48 hours unless we both agree to a different payment plan via e-mail.
Multiple Purchases Shipments are combined whenever possible. When you buy more than one item, hold payment until your purchases/bids are complete. Then Contact Me for a combined Invoice, & I'll get back to you quickly. If you don't wish to wait for an invoice, you can make an immediate Paypal payment, and I'll refund the combined S/H savings back to you via Paypal. IMPORTANT - If you don't wait for a combined invoice, please pay for all your purchase with ONE Combined Paypal Payment. This saves me some Paypal fees and is much appreciated.
- Customer Special Requests I ship USPS and will specify the method in the Invoice. If you wish a different method (Priority instead of First Class, for ex.), let me know, and I'll send you a revised Invoice. If you need same day shipping, e-mail first, and I can usually accommodate (especially if I know by 11:00 AM EST).
- Partial S/H Refunds:
- 1.On most items, I include a small handling charge. However, once in a while, my actual shipping charges at the PO are much lower than estimated. If this happens, I will issue a partial refund back to you. If I undercalculated S/H charges, I will leave payment as is.
- 2.As partly explained above, some people buy multiple items and pay immediately via Paypal without waiting for a combined invoice. When this happens, I calculate the combined S/H rate, and then refund the S/H overpayment back to you.
