Mexico American War Era Tacubaya Military Academy Sword




I can't seem to find any info on this sword. It is labeled "Academia Militaizada Mexico, Tacubaya, D.E." I know this academy was only in existance for a short time and a battle was fought there during the Mexican American War.

The sword is in fair condition. The handle has a slight twisting movement and the white handle has a gap between it and the brass. The blade has some tarnish and light surface rust, but no pitting. The edge has never been sharpened. The button on the guard is not moving. It is 23" long.

The scabbard is in good condition but the brass parts are dented and dinged. The leather is in good condition.
