Mobile Storage Table - Denmark, c. late 1950s

Unusual vintage design consisting of a shapely teak body with sliding top surface that opens to reveal a spacious interior storage space. The top automatically stops when slid fully open and is rigid enough to be used as a serving platform etc. in the open position. Very cool angular legs are on removable castors so it can easily be moved about or pull the castors off for a more stationary look. Very functional with unlimited uses in any room in your home. Legs will remove via a few screws for more compact shipping.

This was probably a sewing storage table in it's day. About 3" down on each side is a narrow track rail that likely had a small removable sliding tray or shallow basket. It is no longer present, but if desired, you could easily make use of this with a little creativity (i.e.: a piece of glass or wood would make a neat sliding divider platform). Otherwise, the thin rails have no affect on fully using the interior as shown.

measurements

Overall 26"w by 22.25"h by 15.75"d. Interior has a useable space of 19" long at the bottom tapering to 23.25" long at the top by 12" by 7.75" high.

condition

Very good, overall clean ad ready to use. There are some edge nicks and marks here and there (see close up pics).

Larger items that require special packaging may take a little longer. Unlike many ebay sellers, we do not just loosely toss your items in a used old “soft” box and send it on its way destined to be damaged. We take GREAT CARE and expense in both money and time in packing your piece. We use 99% new materials (all produced from recycled sources) and pack the right way every time (it’s not at all uncommon for a small furniture piece to take us 2+ hours to pack).
