|
This fabulous pair of vintage 1960’s Murano lamps in the desirable FAZZOLETTO (meaning handkerchief) shape, consist of white opaque glass on the interior, thinly cased on the exterior with pale amber glass. There are aventurine inclusions between the two layers. We tend toward a Fratelli Toso attribution based on the information obtained when we purchased these and are limited research. The brass bases are 5½” in diameter x 2¾” high, the glass portions vary from 5½”-7” in diameter x 10¼”-11¾” high, and the lamps are 21” tall to the tops of the sockets, 29½“ to the top of the finials. Each lamp has a harp and finial but no shades These are hand made and the glass has a lovely richness and elegance. The center rods are not plain brass but covered with grooved lucite giving an added touch. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs to the glass. Minor wear commensurate with age to the patina on the brass finished bases mentioned for accuracy. The lamps have the original wiring and do work. . |
