PERSONAL REVIEW: We tested this bat on 4/26/2006. We tested the Balanced version in a 28oz. on a 300 ft. field. We used a mix of Dudley Thunder 375 & 500 compression softballs. The first thing I noticed hitting with the Miken NRG 500 is that it had a very minimal break in period. Within the first 10 - 20 swings this bat was putting a real good charge in the ball. The line drives were really crisp and I hit a good amount of balls over the 300 ft. fence with some of the furthest shots being in the 325 - 335 ft. range. I would say the best feature to the Miken NRG 500 is if you put good backspin on the ball it will carry and carry and clear the fence. I would say that the Miken NRG 500 will be one of the top bats for ASA play in 2006 and beyond. I would rate this bat a 9.9 for sweet spot and a 9.75 for performance. Reviewed by Anthony Kelly.

RETURNS: Returns are accepted 30 days from the purchase date. The bat must be unused and still in the original shrink wrap paper. Refunds are subject to a 10% restocking fee.

Don't have the time or resources to break in your bat before your first game, then let the professionals do it for you. We will break in your bat by hitting 100 softballs that are pitched from a pitching machine. The balls will be pitched at regular slo pitch speed with an arc of 6 TO 8 ft. We will rotate the bat so the entire barrel breaks in evenly. The Factory shrink wrap paper will be left on the bat during the break in process. This will not void your warranty like rolling your bat in a machine would. For Slow Pitch and Fastpitch Softball Bats the Softball used will be a 12 inch Dudley Thunder 44 core 400 compression. For Baseball Bats the ball used will be the Rawlings Senior Little League Leather Baseballs. DISCLAIMER: We are among the top Softball Bat retail stores in the nation and this is a natural break in process which we have been told by all the bat companies whose bats that we sell that they have no problem with this process and that it will not void your warranty with them like Rolling a bat would. The $20 fee is for just 1 bat. If you order more then 1 bat at a time then you will need to make sure to adjust the quanity to match how many bats you have in the order.
