The item that is up for sale is a Philips DVDR3576H/37 Hard Disk (160GB) DVD Recorder, which allows recording of standard definition (NTSC) and digital (ATSC) programming.
The unit is refurbished, that is factory recondition and recertified, it includes 30-day parts/labor warranty, and comes in a factory sealed box. It is in an excellent physical condition.

The unit is like new.
I personally own two of these DVDR3576H/37 recorders and they are wonderful; they work similar to a Tivo, without the associated monthly fees.

The DVDR3575H and DVDR3576H are very similar operationally. The only known changes in the 3576 are a black case and new Front-End (FE) Firmware for tuner ops. Functionality and performance are identical.

It has a high-bandwidth processor capable of transferring 720p/1080i and 1080p through the HDMI output. Progressive Scan - Progressive Scan doubles the vertical resolution of the image resulting in a noticeably sharper picture. Instead of sending a field comprising the odd lines to the screen first, followed by the field with the even lines, both fields are written at one time. A full image is created instantaneously, using the maximum resolution. At such a speed, your eye perceives a sharper picture with no line structure.
