The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, State Surplus Property Office is offering for sale one house trailer.  

Condition:       The trailer has been vacant since the winter of 2005 and will be sold as is, where is.   The utilities are disconnected.  The sewer line is not disconnected, but will be prior to removal.  The general condition of the trailer is good.  There doesn’t appear to be any leaks or rot and no signs of pests infiltrating the unit. 

Specifications:  The trailer is approximately 12 foot wide by 56 feet long, by 10 foot high.  The trailer has two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and one bath. 

Removal:        The winning vendor will remove, pack, make ready for shipment, and incur all freight costs.  The trailer must be completely removed no later than 15 business days from date of award.   If the trailer is not removed by this date, the Commonwealth has the right to impose a daily storage fee of $25.00 for each day beyond the removal deadline.

Indemnification: The vendor warrants that all services shall be performed in a professional and timely manner by qualified personnel. The vendor shall be solely responsible for any loss, claims or damages arising out of the removal or transportation of equipment.  The vendor further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Commonwealth against any and all losses, claims or damages arising from the removal or transport of any equipment or debris, or any other actions arising out of this transaction. 

Hours of Removal: The high bidder must assume all responsibility for the removal and shipment of the trailer to their location.  Removal will be allowed Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM.  Weekend removal may be allowed, but buyer must first obtain permission from the designated contact person.  Removal will not be allowed on federal or state holidays. 

Payment:  Although there may be the indication that PayPal will be offered as an option, payment for this trailer can only be done by bank check or money order made payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  No credit cards will be accepted.  When payment has been received the buyer will be given a notarized Bill of Sale.

Under the Indemnification part of the description the word vendor means the high bidder. 

Please be informed that the sale will end over the weekend when the office is closed.  I will be returning to my office on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, and will contact the high bidder at that time.
