There is a flap on the top that lifts up and mail can be dropped into the 1.75” X 10.5” slot. Don’t settle for imitators that don’t comply with US Postal regulations. When unlocked the front of the mailbox opens outward for you to retrieve your mail. The mailbox is sturdy, weighs about 7 pounds and includes hanging hardware. Made completely out of SOLID stainless steel in a thick gauge, this mailbox will not rust. The lowest section is a tube which is open on either end, makes a great newspaper holder. This mailbox comes with 2 keys, hanging hardware and will hold several days’ worth of mail.
