Mohamed Drissi Oil Painting - One of His Best Works

This offering is for an original oil painting by Moroccan artist Mohamed Drissi (b. 1946, d. 2003).  I sent photos to a gallery in Morocco that handles his work and they told me this is one of his best pieces.  It is a large painting, 42" high and 29" wide and unframed.  The painting was done on a burlap-like material. I purchased it from a person who told me he had bought it directly from the artist in Morocco in 1985.  I suspect it was hand carried in a rolled state and later mounted on stretchers in this country.  The painting is in good condition.  There is a spot of paint missing on the left eyebrow of the upper left figure. Because most of the information on Drissi is in French, I had some difficulty learning as much about him as I would like.  What I have gathered is that he was one of the most notable Moroccan artists and that upon his death, the state-run contemporary art gallery was renamed in his honor.  Other examples of his work can be seen at this site.  http://www.yessy.com/art/?sb=9&sd=0&scy=MA&p=1  I think the painting I have is superior to the ones shown.  Free shipping on this item within the United States.  This is an exciting painting, to say the least, and will no doubt dramatically increase in value in the future.  I do not allow returns unless I have erred in my description of an item.
