Moorcroft Peach Hibiscus Large Center Bowl

Exceptional Condition.

Peach color hibiscus blossoms on an olive green ground.

Circa 1953 - 1978 with paper label reading:

"By Appointment, W. Moorcroft, - POTTERS TO THE LATE QUEEN MARY"

Hand numbered "201" on label.

Impressed "MOORCROFT" and "MADE IN ENGLAND".  Signed by Walter Moorcroft with the initials "W.M"

Bowl measures a grand 10.5" wide.  It stands to a height of 3.25"

This bowl is in excellent condition.  There is a fine pattern of crazing in the glaze.  This is consistent with wares of this type and age.  There is a small section of the slip piping line drawing that was chipped after the color glaze was applied and before the clear glaze was applied at the factory.  I have taken three macro photos of this area that show it to be under the clear glaze, a factory flaw.  There is an area of the bottom interior of the bowl that shows faint spots of iridescence in just the right light.
