Movie description
What began as a spin-off of popular sitcom HAPPY DAYS evolved into superstardom for Robin Williams in the pleasantly bizarre 1970s television series MORK & MINDY. Hatching from an egg-shaped spacecraft, alien visitor Mork (Williams) lands on Earth to investigate the planet's inhabitants and report his findings to his superior Orson, who appears only as a disembodied voice. Mork finds shelter and friendship with an average Earth woman, Mindy McConnell (Pam Dawber), who serves as bemused foil to some of her roommate's more otherworldly behavior, such as talking to plants or drinking through his fingers. Williams' manic style is tailor-made for his rainbow-suspendered, fish-out-of-water character, and much of the series' charm springs from his eccentric mannerisms and uncanny impersonations. This collection includes all 24 episodes from the show's debut season, which earned Williams a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy series. Na nu, na nu!

Actor-comedian Robin Williams zoomed to stardom with co-star Pam Dawber in this laugh-filled comedy series spawned from a 9178 episode of Happy Days.

Dispatched from Ork in his egg-shaped spacecraft, the lovable Orkan hurtles to Earth near the town of Boulder Colorado, where he is befriended by pretty college student Mindy McConnell (Dawber). Mork's mission is to observe the bizarre customs of the earthlings and then report back to his great Orkan leader, Orson. He tries his best to adapt to his new environment - not an easy task when you innocently wear your clothes backwards, sit in a chair upside down, or blurt out "Shazbot!" when things go awry. It's an out-of-this-world series of laughs and escapades when human being meets humanoid hurricane in Mork & Mindy.
