Mother Goose Quilt Blocks - KC Star-1916

















Using my stash of feedsack and old fabrics, I have graphically reproduced the Mother Goose Quilty designs from the KC Star onto 100% cotton unbleached pre-cut muslin squares 6x6 inches. I have done this by a  superior heat transfer which is washable, no bleach and there is little difference in the texture of the image and the fabric it is printed on.

These quilt blocks are from the Collection of Mother Goose Quiltie patterns which appeared in the Kansas City Star during the year 1916 (93 years ago). From its beginning in 1880, the KC Star soon became an important regional newspaper. Ruby Short McKim, designer of this series was the first artist/quilt illustrator for the featured quilt patterns that appeared through May, 1961. These patterns soon became known as the “Kansas City Star Quilt Patterns”.

These would make a darling child’s quilt or the blocks could be used individually for other craft projects of your imagination.

You will receive 20 different blocks. Shipping is by U.S. First Class Mail. International shipping is at cost (please email for estimate).  If you want to combine orders, please finish all of your shopping and then request an invoice from me so that I can adjust charges.
