THIS ITEM CONDITION/DESCRIPTION: COMMERCIAL GRADE RADIO CONFIGURED AS THE HIGH-END RAILROAD SCANNING RAILSCAN UNIT... Excellent physical and operational condition with only minor wear, 146 to 174 MHz coverage (can be reprogrammed TX & RX from about 143 MHz to 177 MHz), exceptionally sensitive receiver (much better than consumer scanners & still NO intermod !), 99 channel programmable, can scan up to 9 channels and has user field re-programmable scanlist (NO software needed to change your own scanlist or Priority channel "in the field" at any time, selecting from any of the 99 programmed channels), Priority channel sample during scan adds the 9th scanned frequency in scanmode (you select any of the 99 including any in the scanlist, at any time "in the field" without computer / software reprogramming)
Includes DETAILED PRINTED INSTRUCTIONS ON REVISING YOUR SCANLIST/PRIORITY CHANNEL IN THE FIELD WITH YOUR SHIPMENT OR E-MAILED TO YOU ALONG WITH MANUAL & OTHER INFORMATION RELATED TO USING THE MT1000 , LED backlight for easy darkness/nighttime viewing, squelch break button on side opens squelch (for weaker signals), does PL/DPL, tone, group call etc., similar to the Genesis P200 / HT600 series radio line but this is the rarer 99ch MT unit... Currently programmed for all North American railroad / train frequencies on channels Ch2 thru Ch97 , NOAA Weather channels in Ch 01, 98 and 99 (2-97 are Canadian and AAR Association of American Railroads train Channels), LED readout corresponds with railway freq's, i.e. AAR Ch 08 is Chessie / CSX CSXT Road Channel 160.230 MHz , AAR Ch 46 is Conrail / NS Norfolk Southern freq 160.800 , etc. ), excellent radio for professional rail employee or railfan / railway scanner enthusiast or can be reprogrammed for numerous other applications in the bandsplit covered (i.e. can also be used in police , fire / volunteer , ambulance / EMS , tow truck, business , hunting , security , SAR - Search & Rescue , industrial , MURS , ham / amateur etc.) Unit is outstanding for " railfanning " : receiving / monitoring train freq's as a scanner.
