Much Sought-After THE BROOKE BOOK 1978 1st Ed. Shields

This is a highly sought-after, highly collectible original copy of The Brooke Book by Brooke Shields. This is a first edition and was issued in 1978. This is a used copy.

***Oversized paperback, approx. 10 1/2 inches by 7 1/4 inches, with almost a half an inch in thickness
***The cover is in fair condition, but it is attached/not loose and does not have any rips or stains from drinks (just wear from being read by a young girl a lot)
***The pages are all intact and are in much better/very good shape than the cover. There is very minimal writing - only on a few pages, although a name has been scribbled out (in pen) on the inside of the front cover
***A small 1979 picture of Brooke with Gene Simmons of Kiss has been glued to the inside cover, and a full-page 1979/80/? Love's Baby Soft as has been glued to the inside of the back cover. There are also a couple of loose old clippings of Brooke that were in the book and I'm just leaving there. If you're a fan, you may like the added bonus.
***Even though the cover is in rough condition, this highly sought-after book will should make any Brooke fans happy! It is loaded with photographs, many of which were never in magazines (my mother was a HUGE Brooke fan in the late 70s and had her own copy of this once, and she told me how "thrilling" it was to have all those different pics of Brooke!!) and as the cover states, it is "illustrated by many of the world's greatest photographers". Some pictures are so adorable, while (and here is why there was controversy over her mother back then) others are borderline child porn because of the provocative poses.

I think I've said it all. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. If you think I'm insane for my starting bid, please look around the internet for this book. I've seen it anywhere from a hundred-something to over a thousand!! But it's always good to research something before you buy it anyway to make sure it's what you want. I've put several pictures on this page but there are PLENTY more in the book! These are just samples. I did just realize that the majority of the samples show her when she was very, very young, but this book has plenty of her when she was older than that (she was born in '65, the book was released in '78), say 10, 9, etc....

Shipping is fixed at $6 for USPS Priority in the United States and I am going to ask for insurance on this item, considering how rare it is. Insurance costs vary and can be figured out at auction's end when the actual purchasing price is known. However, it shouldn't be more than a couple of dollars. If you see the shipping prices area down below, the price is higher than $6 because eBay automatically added in the estimated insurance price as "handling".
Shipping outside the United States is fixed at $12.00 for Priority International.
