10, 1973 at The Forum, Inglewood, CA), one of the most underrated performances
of The Champ's career. Six months earlier, the little-known Norton had
become the first boxer to truly dominate and demolish the former Cassius
Clay, breaking his jaw and reducing him to a punching bag in a loss Ali
blamed on poor conditioning and a wonky ankle. Yet the rematch was a tight
battle that came down to a final round flurry by Ali that clinched a fight
that may have ended in a draw, showing once again the sheer will and determination
of the man who, within the year, would once again regain the undisputed
Heavyweight championship. Norton emerged only slightly beaten, and after
another tight rematch in 1976, he became etched in lore as Ali's great
achilles heel of an opponent. This spectacular print, featuring a rare
vintage, grainy, black-and-white classic, brings the match back to life
with all the style and intensity of that amazing comeback era. Printed
on heavy gallery-quality stock, this is worthy of a nice frame and a prominent
