*****Please read the auction for all details and Buyer's responsibility before bidding. This is as a live Auction, all sells are "as is" final sell therefore ask questions before bidding!***
Up for your consideration is a Murano art glass bird made by Archibald Seguso.
This awesome piece measures 5 1/2" x 5" x 3 1/2" .
The internal design is the sommerso technique of several layers of gold leaf sheets wrapped around the clear base and gold leaf sheets in the wings and tail and transparent pink. Nice appealing design.
There are no chips or cracks (after factory damage). There are no repairs. Please ask questions before bidding.
Please Note: Due to the vintage nature of the glass being offered, some minor wear is to be expected. Common, non-damage occurrences include tool marks, annealing checks, pontil marks to bases of glass vases, bowls, paperweights, figurals, and animals, furnace ash, internal bubbles and surface bubbles (rough or sharp feeling to the touch). These are inherent with vintage Murano glass and we do "not" consider this "after factory" damage and are not included in our descriptions. Scratches are common in this age of glass and usually found on the bottom of the item. Any unusual wear or scuff marks are carefully noted in our description with addition picture whenever possible.
Please ask question if factory flaws are a concern for you. We have a "as is" policy and the "Buyer" bidding understands that all items are sold "as is", with no warranty made as to authenticity and/or age.
Please Ask Questions Before you Bid if you have any doubt.
****We consider this auction, as live auction, an "as is" final sell. In the event that we consider to allow a return:
Buyer understands that S&H, insurance fees, delivery confirmation and bank fees are not refunded.
Buyer understands that he is responsible for the return S&H, insurance, delivery confirmation fees and a restocking fee of $25.00.
Buyer understands that item must be returned in the same condition that he received it. With same packing, double boxed and secured.
***All attributions are based on 26+ years of collecting glass experience, Glass reference books, Antique Auction Catalogs, Artist labels and signatures, and fellow glass Collectors. However, it is possible that some attributions are incorrect. It is common knowledge in the Glass Collector groups that even experts disagree on attributions, which is due, in part, to the family "technique secrets" that are guard with each generation.
All measurements are approximate.
Please Ask questions.
A great addition to your fine art glass collection.
"Estimated " S&H fees:
To figure out the "ESTIMATED" S&H cost to your area; go to USPS web site and enter 5 lbs, package and then my zip 91710 and your zip code.
International select the dropdown arrow and select your country, then select package, 5 lbs and then select priority mail international.
Insurance:
Remember insurance is based on final total at the end of the auction. Insurance is required when shipping glass. Also understand that insurance does not cover the cost of the S&H and Insurance fees. Insurance covers the winning bid price.
****This is an estimate, because the final cost will be based on the weight after packaging and the amount for insurance.
