Musella Lasiacarpa!

Musella Lasiocarpa is known for its striking golden flowers. This plant has been given the nickname the Lotus Banana. Musella Lasiocarpa is a hardy banana cousin. This plant is originally from the mountains of China which is why it stays out all winter much like Musa Basjoo (with mulching). This plant grows to 5 feet tall but what it lacks in height it more then makes up for with its spectacular flowers. Plants that are for sale are 2 feet tall and almost flowering size. These plants will be shipped bare rooted.

Plants are well rooted in 4 inch pots and are from 8 inches to 1 foot tall or more. Similar to one shown in last photo.

FACTS Foliage: Green banana like leaves with a squatted trunk.

Flower: Huge yellow flowers up to 1 foot or larger across

Height: 4 to 8 feet tall

Situation: full to part sun

Zone: 6 and up with protection in cold zones.
