       John Williams is a contemporary American Painter with artistic talent in many art forms.  John has a stimulating style which he conveys so well in his acrylic paintings.

 In "Bass Cleft"   John has painted a note of the scale in colorful intensity.  This singular note comes from the heart of the artist as he remembers hours of piano practice.   Just the other evening we ran across a practice book from when John was ten years old. We were amazed how the paper has held up over all these years-sorry John-yet with what fun the notes of the scale dance across the bars.  This is a original  7 inch x 5 inch acrylic on 140 cold press watercolor paper * * which will be noticed and a conversation piece in your collection.  As an artist, life displays  never ending subjects for John M. please look in on auctions this week.  John likes to paint the  simple pleasures of life in his own unique fashion.

Portrait of the Painter
John McDowell Williams (b.1949) is a complex artist. His subjects are many and his style is his alone. Although he has been compared to Edward Hopper, Winslow Homer, and Zoltan Szabo-all artists he admires, John's vision is continually evolving. As a multi-media {working in gouache, watercolors and oils} University trained in the Fine Arts, John knows the importance of color harmony, balance and uniqueness in his composition. Yet daily experience is his basis of Impressionist Art. The American Scene is surely a John McDowell Williams adventure.
